The Municipality of Almeria recently concluded the Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentive Awards (LTIA) Municipal Assessment and Coaching Sessions. This annual event evaluates the performance of the Lupong Tagapamayapa in implementing the Katarungang Pambarangay Law, which aims to foster community-based mediation and dispute resolution.

These extended beyond mere assessment, incorporating coaching and lectures conducted by MLGOO Bernarda M. Saboy to help the Lupong Tagapamayapa improve their effectiveness. The LTIA Municipal Assessment Committee (LTIA MAC), comprising the DILG Municipal Officer, a Civil Society Organization (CSO) representative, a Philippine National Police (PNP) representative, and the Liga ng mga Barangay President, played a vital role in this initiative.

The sessions served a dual purpose: evaluating and educating the Lupong Tagapamayapa. This approach underscores the importance of their role in promoting peace and resolving conflicts at the community level. By combining assessment and mentoring, the event ensures that Lupong Tagapamayapa members can enhance their skills and techniques for delivering effective justice at the grassroots level.
