The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Almeria will face a crucial milestone on September 18, 2024, as it undergoes the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) National Validation. The evaluation team from DILG Region VII, led by LGOO VII Dr. Jesus Robel Sastrillo, Jr., and LGOO VI Jay Loizel G. Pido, will conduct the assessment.
Having successfully navigated the regional level of validation, Almeria is now poised to secure the SGLG 2024. This prestigious recognition is awarded to LGUs that excel in governance and compliance with national standards, making them exemplary models of effective local administration.
The validation process will focus on ten critical areas of governance: Financial Administration and Sustainability, Disaster Preparedness, Social Protection and Sensitivity, Health Compliance and Responsiveness, Sustainable Education, Business-friendliness Competitiveness, Safety, Peace, and Order, Environmental Management, Tourism, Heritage Development, Culture, and Arts, and Youth Development.
