As the 2025 senatorial race heats up, former Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary and now ACT-CIS Representative Erwin Tulfo leads the latest senatorial preference survey, securing 58% of voter preference. This was revealed in a poll conducted by Tangere and Acquisition Apps, Inc., with a 2,400 sample size from fieldwork held between September 9-13, 2024. The survey results come with a margin of error of 1.96%.
Former President Rodrigo Duterte ranks second with 49%, followed closely by Senator Pia Cayetano with 46.5%. The other notable names in the top five include Senator Christopher “Bong” Go (44.5%) and former Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III (44%).
The rest of the top 12 senatorial candidates are as follows:
- Ben Tulfo (42.96%) at 6th place
- Manny Pacquiao (41.63%) at 7th place
- Abby Binay (36.91%) at 8th place
- Benjamin Abalos Jr. (34%) at 9th place
- Manuel “Lito” Lapid (33.67%) at 10th place
- Francis Tolentino (32.5%) at 11th place
- Rodante Marcoleta (31%) rounding out the top 12.
With the elections still months away, these numbers indicate strong early momentum for both veteran politicians and new faces. The dynamics of the campaign trail will continue to shape voter preferences as the election draws nearer.
