Congressman GerryBoy Espina Jr. expressed his deep gratitude after being recognized with prestigious awards during the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) Agency Summit held on August 19, 2024, at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City.

Espina was honored with plaques of recognition as the “Inaugural Lead Convenor of the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair” and the “Pioneering Host” of one of the flagship programs of President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. In his statement, the Congressman emphasized the significance of these recognitions, highlighting his commitment to the success of the BPSF initiative.

“It was an honor and privilege to receive these plaques of recognition. I am so grateful to our beloved President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. and House Speaker Martin Romualdez for choosing Biliran among all other provinces as the pilot site for the BPSF,” Espina said.

The inaugural BPSF event in Biliran, held on August 26-27, 2023, drew around 20,000 Biliranons, who benefited from essential services provided by various government agencies during the two-day caravan. Congressman Espina reflected on the success of the event and its lasting impact on the province, stating, “There may be more BPSF legs to come, but we will never forget the first. Biliran, you are No.1.”
